Welcome to my first ever blog income report. I’m excited talk about my total income from November with you today.
Why Am I Sharing My Blog Income?
I’m doing this for a few reasons to be honest.
a) It’s a good marketing technique, everyone likes to look into people’s finances and I personally love income reports.
b) When I was first starting blogging and working remotely, I found it really disheartening when I was barely earning anything. I thought it would be inspiring for beginner to show them that blogging can be profitable!
And my blog as well has been very much an on and off endeavour. There were periods where I didn’t touch it for six months.
And at the moment, I only write a new blog post once a month so I absolutely LOVE it when I make money since it truly feels like passive income now.
Something to point out before we dive in, is that yes, this post does focus on my side hustle of blogging, but the point of my website is to inspire people to break free from the 9-5 and start a business or start freelancing. Whatever it is that gets you feeling motivated and feel in control of your destiny.
Right, I’m finished! I’m not going to bore you anymore with a long intro, let’s get straight to it!
Income + Traffic Report November 2020
Page Views: 16,751
Affiliate Income: $733.29
Ad Income: $142
Total Income: $ 875.29
Let’s dive into it…
There are diffferent ways to make money blogging, but it boils down to a few factors. First you need traffic if you want ad revenue. Then once you have that, you need to grow a dedicated following that you can sell to with either affiliate marketing or your own digital products.
Page Views
The reason why I’ve included my page views in my income report is to show you that you don’t need to have hundreds of thousands of people visiting your site to make money.
You can make decent money with a small, dedicated following your niche.
Affiliate Income
My affiliate income comes from a mix of Amazon referrals and different products, courses that I’ve used and recommend people to buy.
For example, the Launch Your Blog Biz Course. It’s the exact course I bought that guided me to building my blog and turning it into the successful side hustle it is now!
Apart from the blogging course, my main source of affiliate income is with the Rakuten publisher network and Amazon Affiliates, I make anywhere from $20 – $300 each month by reccomending and referring people to products.
I then earn a small (or decent 40%!) commission on any products they buy.
Affiliate marketing is a very good side hustle to get into because once you’ve written the content (and it has to be HIGH quality content), let it sit there and watch Google do its thing. As long as you’re not in a rush, your posts can start to earn money after a few months to a year.
It’s such a cool feeling seeing an email pop up telling you about a commission you’ve made!
The key to affiliate marketing is choosing a niche where you can excel and dominate, I’ve had a lot of luck with reccomending and reviewing online courses, especially online courses that help people start working remotely.

Ad Income
I’ve had varying success with ad placements on my website over the two years, I still don’t have enough page views for the coveted Mediavine network which pays really well.
But this month, I decided to try Google Adsense again for a couple weeks and was pleasantly surprised! I’ve only had it on for a couple weeks yet I made nearly $150.
The best thing about income for adverts is that it’s pure passive income. In fact, that’s the same for most blogging related income, once you write the post, you let it build up traffic via Google and it will continue to make money either via affiliates or ad income.

If you already know you want to start a blog, then I definitely have to tell you about the amazing Cyber Monday deals going on today.
The blogging course I used for my blog, is having a 25% off sale for ALL their courses!
To start your blog, you’ll need to buy a domain and rent your domain name for the year. This is called hosting, and with Bluehost you can run your blog for less than $3.95 a month.
That’s all I’ve got for now guys, told you I was going to keep it short and sweet!
